Meera honoured with Sitara-i-Imtiaz in Pakistan

Remember Meera? The Pakistani actress who is less known for her no-so-great performances in forgettable ‘Nazar’ and ‘Kasak’ and known more for her public tantrums. The actress is best known for her claim a few months ago that Mahesh Bhatt had physically abused her and was even possessive about her. She went further to hold Bhatt responsible for driving her away from Bollywood.

However, it seems that our tinsel town failed to tap her talents well and her performances are earning high appreciation in our neighbour Pakistan. The actress has been conferred the ‘Sitara-i-Imitaz’, the third highest civilian honor in Pakistan. We wonder what Mahesh Bhatt has to say on this!!

Ameesha Patel goes sultry for ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’

Going all glam and hot for her last release ‘Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic’ failed to spark in any magic in Ameesha Patel’s sinking career and the girl seemed to fade into oblivion for about 3 long years. Now, she is back into limelight once again with once again a glam avatar in Sanjay Dutt starrer Chatur Singh Two Star.

The film, which was supposed to hit the theatres some two years back, will have Ameesha looking hot and sensuous in a sizzling number. Talking about the film, an all excited Patel says, “Its  look as well as the music too are very contemporary. Moreover, the story is such that it would have worked 10 years ago or even 10 years down the line. No, I am not worried or depressed at all. On the contrary, I am really excited about the film’s release now since it has shaped up so fantastic.”

Rana Daggubati and Ileana D’Cruz cozying up in enchanting Venice

Rana Daggubati and Ileana D’Cruz are busy shooting in the beautiful city of Venice for their forthcoming ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ and both the actors just cant stop praising the city of canals. Both the actors shot amidst wood pilings on the submerged islands in the Northern end of the Adriatic Sea, 400-foot bridges and 170 boat canals that connect the city to make it easily accessible to people.

‘I fell in love with the floating city the moment I landed here,’ said Rana adding, ‘Once you are caught in the island of endless streets, footbridges that can leave you confused, you would have no other choice but to walk, which is actually a good thing! There’s no better way to explore Venice than getting lost and be surprised in what it has to offer at every turn.’

Ileana said: ‘I’m sure the fun facts in Venice are more than enough to make you want to go to the Queen of Adriatic, Venice.’

The movie is directed by Puri Jagannath and is a romantic thriller portraying the love between a professional killer (Rana) and a female demon (Ileana). The film has a chilling yet positive tagline - ‘Suicide is not a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Ileana says that the role of a rakshasi is in accordance with the storyline. “You will only realize it, once you watch the movie”, says the actress.

When Sonakshi Sinha met Sania Mirza

The ‘Dabangg’ star Sonakshi Sinha is climbing the ladders of success up and fast. She will be seen next in Sirish Knder’s ‘Joker’ where she stars opposite Akshay Kumar. The actress recently met the ace tennis player Sania Mirza and her husband Shoaib Malik in Hyderabad and spent some quality time with the couple.

She tweeted on her social networking site: “No tennis today. Just a fun afternoon with the Maliks (Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik).”

The reality TV star, Kim Kardashian, sets the heat soaring as she poses in bare minimums for the May issue of the UK Cosmopolitan magazine’s special body issue. Kim posted the images of her photo shoot — including behind the scenes — on her website.

The 30-year-old sex kitten reveals candidly her secrets behind her killer hot vody and says that workouts and diets are important, but it’s okay to pamper yourself once in a while.

She said, “If I was stuck on a diet my whole life, I would be really miserable. I love to eat. If you can’t enjoy your life then what’s the point? You can’t torture yourself. I love Rice Krispies Treats, ice cream and frozen yogurt.”

“Sometimes I pig out and I still feel great, and think, “That was so worth it!” That’s how I feel a lot of the time…I think, “See this little dimple of cellulite here? It was so worth it for that cookies ’n’ cream ice cream!” she added.

Kim candidly states that she has her own flaws and says, “It’s crazy anyone should assume that just because you’re in the spotlight, you’re flawless.”

Freida Pinto as a priestess in ‘Immortals’

‘Slum dog Millionaire’ star Freida Pinto is carving out her niche in Hollywood. Her forthcoming international flick is the epic movie ‘Immortals’ which is based on Greek mythology. The film comes from the makers of action-thriller 300 in the direction of Tarsem Singh and stars Superman Henry Cavill and Mickey Rourke.

The story of the film is about King Hyperion (Mickey Rourke) who has declared war against humanity and has spread havoc in Greece in search of the legendary Epirus Bow, a weapon of unimaginable power forged in the heavens by Ares. Since the Gods, by ancient law, must not intervene in man’s conflict, they are helpless. Here comes the peasant named Theseus (Henry Cavill) who has secretly been chosen by Zeus to save his people from Hyperion and his hordes. With the help of his followers, the visionary priestess Phaedra (Freida Pinto) and cunning slave Stavros (Stephen Dorff), Theseus sets forth for this Herculean task.

Freida plays Phaedra, an oracle priestess who can see the future, but only if she remains a virgin. She helps Theseus with her gift but cannot enjoy her woman hood to the fullest.

Topless Yana Gupta in FHM May 2011 issue

Yana Gupta seemed to have disappeared from the silver screen post her superhit item number’ Babuji’. However, the girl is back now and with a bang. She made quite a stir with her dancing skills in ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ and will now be seen in two sizzling item numbers, ‘Laila O laila’ and the sensuous number that she has just shot for ‘Murder 2’.

Now, with the girl going places, she goes a step further and poses topless for the May 2011 issue of FHM magazine. The issue also has a candid interview with Yana where she admits that she is not so keen on doing item numbers and also talks about her so-called rumored romance with her choreographer Salman and other aspects of her personality. She has also written a book on nutrition which will be out soon.
