RSAF Open House 2011


THE RSAF Open House 2011, themed "Our Air Force - Defending Our Skies" gives visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with the men and latest machines of the RSAF.
Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen officiated at the opening ceremony of the Republic of Singapore Air Force Open House held at Paya Lebar Air Base this morning.
After the opening ceremony, Dr Ng toured the RSAF OH with Members of Parliament as well as interacted with RSAF personnel and the public as he visited the exhibition halls and viewed the different aircraft and weapon systems on display.
For the first time, the public will be able to view the latest RSAF aircraft and weapon systems such as the F-15SG fighter aircraft, S-70B Naval helicopter and Surface-to-air PYthon-5 and DERby – Short Range (SPYDER-SR), up close.
Other attractions include demonstrations by our weapon load crews on how aircraft such as the F-15SG, F-16D fighter aircraft, and the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter are loaded with munitions.
The RSAF OH is open to the public on May 28, 2011 from 9.30am to 7pm and May 29, 2011 from 8.30am to 7pm.
Admission is free and visitors are advised to take the free shuttle service from Eunos and Hougang Bus Interchanges as there are limited car parks at the Paya Lebar Air Base.
