Well, that was fast!Sadly, Elisabeth Moss and Fred Armisen’s love for each other won’t lasted ’til death do they part. The “Mad Men” actress filed for divorce from Armisen after eight months of marriage.
28-year-old Moss filed the paperwork in L.A. Superior Court on Monday, citing June 26 as their date of separation and irreconcilable differences as the cause for their split.
According to a source, the couple had issues and apparently could not deal with them. Moss’s ties to the Church of Scientology was said to be one of the issues. “Her religion was as important to her as their marriage, if not more,” the source said. “He could not get with it.”
Moss and the 43-year-old Saturday Night Live performer, met each other in 2008, when Moss’s “Md Men” co-star Jon Hamm hosted the comedy show. Armisen proposed to Moss in June 2009, and they tied the knot in October. This is Moss’ first divorce and Armisen’s second.
Another source said that Armisen has started dating his SNL co-star, 23-year-old Abby Elliot. Hmm… goodbye wife, hello new girlfriend?
