Kiowa Gordon, who plays the shapeshifting werewolf Embry Call in “The Twilight Saga” franchise, was arrested Tuesday in Arizona.
The actor was collared when police pulled over his vehicle at 6:50 a.m.. But unlike the typical reason for arrest -driving with influence-, he was arrested because of two outstanding warrants.
Arizona’s Mesa Police Department released a statement detailing Gordon’s arrest, “Kiowa Gordon was a passenger in a vehicle registered to him when he was stopped by the Tempe Police Department.”
The statement continued, “During a registration check on that vehicle, it showed the registered owner (Kiowa Gordon) had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.”
The first warrant was issued by the Mesa Municipal Court, and was issued for failure to appear in court stemming from his 2010 guilty plea for possession and use of drug paraphernalia and giving liquor to a minor/underage consumption. It carried with it a $1,000 bond.
The second unanswered warrant was issued by the Scottsdale Municipal Court and had a bond of just $500.
21-year-old Gordon was immediately taken into custody and transferred to the Tempe Police Department. He remains in custody and is being held in lieu of bail. He’s due back in court Aug. 18.
Gordon is slated to star in the upcoming horror thriller “Into the Darkness,” alongside Mischa Barton and John Schneider.
Hopefully you’ll learn from your mistakes this time, Kiowa!
